I guess now would be a good time to remind everyone that the comic contains a fair amount of stuff that diverges significantly from DnD canon, insofar as DnD has a canon. This is deliberate on my part and not a mistake.
It’s hard to make something with elves, magic and dungeons and not have it called ‘D&D’
Yet LoTR was around long before the game…
You do what you want to, it’s the story that counts, not who invented the genre
New worlds and new settings keep us guessing 🙂
