So apparently Tapas's corporate owner just announced that they will be shutting it down. There's no official announcement on the Tapas site as of this writing, so hopefully there will be some time for artists to find new hosting and readers to find them elsewhere. I had my criticisms of the site but it's still a huge bummer to hear we'll be losing it.
