I think I figured out what makes Taneli stand out so much, her skin tone seems to have a different ‘flatness’ than the others as well as being a lot lighter, the shadows don’t seem to ‘sit’ quite the same on her, especially against a darker background.
This is not a bad thing, it’s very well done even if it’s going to make it harder for her to hide in shadows 😉
The lighting seems to treat each of them differently and gives them a little individuality.
Kitov seems almost ‘flat’ but with highlights, the humans seem even ‘flatter’, Dwarves the ‘flattest’ and Orcs with the deepest colour and highlights, to me anyway 😉
That must have taken a lot of work and thought to pull off and it looks great, thank you.
