I did a bit of a test stream last night where I finished the cover for chapter 8. As of right now the comic is completely inked and I just need to color it. I’ll try to stream at least some of the process, and also more games when I have time. I really want to stream more often.
Quick question, and please don’t take it the wrong way…
But once the ‘rich’ are gone, who pays their share of taxes (95%) and who makes the jobs ?
I can see curtailing the obscently overpaid ‘celebrities’ and social engineers who produce nothing tangible
But who replaces the manufacturers of the everyday goods and services we use ?
This is a more complicated question than you probably think it is, and I’m not likely the best person to explain it, but I will try. For starters this is sort of a joke, I don’t know of anyone who literally thinks we can just get rid of all rich people. If you find someone who does they’re likely a troll or a literal child.
Obscenely rich people already pay less than their share of taxes, many large corporations pay nothing. If that money were spread out more equitably the amount of taxable money would not change.
Goods and services would not have to go anywhere. The person who works in, say, a shoe factory still will know how to make shoes, same with every other job. The people who do the bulk of the work still know how to do their jobs when the boss is gone. Anecdotally I’ve worked several jobs that always ran better and smoother when the owner was gone.
But also, there’s a lot of smarter people who can explain this kind of stuff better than I can. I’m not a leftist theoryman, I’m just a guy that draws gay elves and wants everyone to have a baseline decent standard of living.
Not to further the argument, but nobody who works in a factory knows how to make anything anymore, they know how to do their small stage or more often just push the button that does their small part of the process, I ran an assembly line once, it was hard enough to try to train people to cover for each other’s parts so they could be moved around in case someone called in sick, let alone know how to make the entire item from scratch, and the owners of those factories pay payroll taxes and the salaries of their workers are taxed.
The ‘rich don’tpay taxes’ is a bit misleading, they may have access to certain regulations others don’t, like depreciation, but they have to buy equipment to use the depreciation clause and somebody had to be paid to make that. ‘bama was 100% completely wrong when he spewed out “you didn’t build that” he never produced a damned thing in his entire life and ruined millions of other people’s lives with his foolishness…look what’s happened in the few short weeks his successor has been sitting in office…
