For what it’s worth, I don’t mind either way. Not invested in the lore that deeply. That’s a very cute kobold, and a nice outfit too. What else matters?
I always thought Kobolds were sort of lizard the size of large dogs that walked upright ?
According to the original Monster Manuals, they do ‘yip’ like dogs and can be distracted by throwing something but I never considered them to have ‘dog’ features, of course this world might well have such a thing, it’s going to be interesting to see what comes along.

Maybe the head of the top one on the body of the bottom one ? possibly a little more ‘poodlish’ ? ( they can be French Kobolds 😉 )
